I recently replaced a leaking head gasket on my '91 blaster a week ago. Started it up today and it blew again. I torqued the bolts to factory specs. Should I tighten them again? Also, in my top end rebuild kit it says to use RTV sealant on copper gaskets but my Clymer manual doesn't say a thing about it. Should I use it or not?
Thanks in Advance

sounds like your head may not be flat if you had it milled for more compression. Also you need to make sure that after the first time you warm your bike up, you must re-torque the head to spec.I'd also recommend that you spray some permatex copper gasket spay on the gasket before you install it. Good luck!
