Default Performance chips work?

I was looking to add more power, already added a Yosh exhaust.

Ran across something called "Extreme Performance Chip" which says it can add up to 30 more HP.

Has anyone installed one of these or have any insight to the actual power gain by one of these?

Thanks.

What type of quad would this go on?

First question I would have is, what is the amount of hp you think you have now. Let's say it's quite a bit at 70hp. Do you really think just a chip would almost double that?

A more honest improvement would be (IMO) 3-10% of your current hp.

This will ultimately depend on what they are selling you. If it's just one of the resistor things they sell on ebay, the only change you will notice is in your bank account.

Sorry, I have a 2006 Suxuki LTZ400.
Not sure how much HP I have, only mod I have done so far is the exhaust.

Yes, it is a chip off of Ebay for like $25. It is hard to believe I could get upwards of 30 more HP, maybe around half or less is more believable.

Just wondering if anyone has bought one and noticed anything, or had any thoughts.

Thanks.

Thanks for the info, I have decided against them.

Instead I installed a 440 Big Bore kit with stainless steel valves and dropping to a 13t front sprocket.
