do reed spacers make a noticeable difference in horsepower. i was thinking of ordering one for my 86 250r, but i hate to throw away 20 bucks for nothing.
my R has fmf pipes and silencers, carbon fiber reeds and a wiseco piston, i want a bigger carb for it. i was thinking about a kehein 38mm pwk airstryker. will this be too big for the mods i already have??? i may look into porting later down the road, so i don't want one that is too small either. thanx

 

I have a reed spacer on my 86R, and I can't tell much difference. It may have helped smooth the power out but not much. I've thought about taking mine off next time I have the carb off.
