I have a 2005 Vinson and i put a snorkel kit in and it didn't run right cause it got top much air and didn't have time to put in a jet kit so we put a PVC plug and and drilled out a hole. i want to jet it but i don't know even if i get it will it run right after that or will it still get to much cause i could only get a stage one and if it would would i also be able to put in a k&n filter. If anyone has a similar problem please tell me cause i want to make it run perfect and get the most performance. thanks.

 

Just get a new main jet and go 10 up from the stock main jet. Mine had a 128 main and I went with a 138 and it runs fine

 

you installed a snorkel and are getting too much air??? I would love to see the snorkel system you installed...can you attach some pics of your snorkel system?

Typically the longer and multi-angled snorkeling system tubing creates much more restriction than stock and results in decreased airflow to the engine, thus requiring a smaller jet to make a leaner mixture

 

I do have the same problem with my 02 I did a 2 in hard snorkel all the way up and capped it but before I get into the Carb I'm gonna do trial and error with a bigger hole in the cap and playing with the mixture. But do let me know how you go about it I will probably wind up jetting. I'll try and get a pic up of mine..I
