Hi,

I am a proud owner of a 2000 Suzuki Quadmaster 500 4x4. I have been looking at all the websites to find info about the 2002 Quadmaster 500 4x4 and even SUZUKI doesn't have it listed. It doesn't say that the model was discontinued but EVERY other model (Vinson included) is on their website with price, etc. So here's what I did. I called my Local Suzuki Dealer and he says that the Vinson is NOT a replacement for the Quadmaster (why give up a cool name like Quadmaster) But the Vinson is going to be the 2nd in the family line. He told me that the Quadmaster is being thouroughly redone and revamped with a much larger engine ( somewhere between 100-200CC Boost) Rumor is it will look somewhat like the vinson and remain within the 606lb weight limit using aluminum components. Now I dont know what to believe but my Suzuki dealer has always been right on. The Quadmaster has been a good seller and im sorry but the same VINSON sounds like some old mans name (No offense if you have the name Vincent) Now heres what i think...Ok they came out with the new"" 500cc engine in late 97 so why a new bodied 500? I think they are displaying a new body(too show they still got it ) and kind of a preview for a later release 2002 QUADMASTER 700 4x4. I think If they put a 700cc engine (40cc bigger than the new Grizz) and the Vinson bodywork they will steal sales from everyone. I also have a 94 king quad with 4000 miles and still going strong. I like polaris but a 700cc Vinson bodied Quadmaster? (Try to keep up SP HO. =)

OK guys...The dealer sent me the pic this morning. Im not sure what to think of it...It does look real but it seems to blend the vinson and the quadmaster body work...note the headlight pod with the quadmaster fenders. But something that caught my eye was the little red button on the trans shifter. If anyone wants this pic...e-mail me at drholmquist@hotmail.com and i will send it...tell me what you think. Looks like a dealer press release to me..

Thanks

The September ATV Action mag. states that the Vinson "replaces" the old Quadmaster 500.

Suzuki Vinson 500 replaced the Quadmaster 500. But both have the same model # LT-A500F

20 year old thread. You know what was coming, they didn't. Also the 450/500/700/750 King Quads were regarded as more of a replacement for the Quadmaster than the Vinson which was billed as a "Sports/Utility" though it did make a good utility bike. The King Quads were made alongside the Vinson for a while.

I currently own a 2000 Quadmaster 500. Im constantly looking up parts for it. That's how I know they have the same model #. I didn't notice the date on the thread when I originally replied.

Suzuki model numbers can be confusing LT seems to be stuck in front of everything, A stands for Auto and 500 the capacity. not sure what the F stood for, there are a bewildering variety of letters used as suffixes on them.
