Default Master Cylinder

So...I have always seen the master cylinder mounted on the handle bars. As we all have. But, Can the master cylinder be the same height as the calipers? I have a custom build going and the MC needs to be down low since this is a buggy project using an old polaris trailblazer. Right now the MC is down low, and i am having a hard time getting the brakes to bleed. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated...I am on a 24 hour time crunch here also.

Thanks,

I can't think of a reason the master has to be higher than the slave cylinder.
As you found out, it might be a beast to bleed though. Should be doable though.

I've always heard the master cylinder needs to be the highest point in the system. But I never asked why. I just assumed it had to do with bleeding them.

The master cylinder for my rear brake of my Harley is below the slave cylinder.

Sounds dangerous. You'd better just ship it to me for your own personal safety.
