Because, mabey the stator is not enough power and why not hose clamp it to the frame and figure out a way to spin it...

I guess if they can do it on a bike, you can do it on an atv. Be sure to post pictures.

Default Installing on an atv

Howdy y'all. I have an alternator from my 1969 Ford F250 that I am about to mount onto my quad. The quad itself is pretty rednecked, with a twin cylinder 800cc engine that's about to be updated to a 8 cylinder Ford 460 gasser, paired to a np435 manual transmission, fed to a differential that I pulled from an '86 Ford F250, cut the axles shorter, and added 6-lug hubs to. I have added a lot of reinforcement to the frame, and have hydraulics as well. It has a custom made front loader, and it works fantastic for around-the-farm use. I will post pictures in the morning or next week with the details!
