I was wondering what a good cheap tire would be for sand but also for rocky stuff, I was reading abou the pro wedge 2 in another conversation are they any good? I want a 20 inch tire for a 9 inch rim. Thanx for any help.

sand and rocks are 2 totally opposite terrain. I've run turf tamers in the sand, and they work ok. They also work ok in the rocks, as long as you don't go crazy. Maybe a 6 ply tire like a RAZR or Holeshot would be good for you

I have never ridden in sand, but the Realtor's might work well. I am not sure if they come in a 20" size though. They do work well in rocks and mud.

The stock 400ex tires (ohetsu) seem to work pretty good on my friends warrior, They hookup pretty good on just about all terrain, But they are by no means a sand tire. I preferably run maxis 6ply razrs in the 20in on my banshee, Again they hook up good on pretty much everything, But they are not a specific type tire.

Definitly a Ohtsu tire. It is the best all-around tire and it only costs about $45.

Stock 400EX tires work good in sand too. They arent a paddle, but they'll get you around.

I run the pro wedges on several banshees, but they won't work on rocky terrain and they only come in 22" height. I've got 20x11x9 Shredders on the back of my 250R and love them; they work awesome in all desert-type terrain... hardpack and loose sand, although NOTHING will work like a paddle in deep sand.
