What Gear to Dyno in?
#1
My work has just recently got a dynojet 1200 rear-wheel dyno for cars. I am thinking about dynoing my TRX250R and tune it in.
What gear should I pull it in? Here's my gear ratios:
1: 2.570
2: 2.062
3: 1.667
4: 1.333
5: 1.087
6: .920
I will probably use my 18" Hoosier Tri-Tracs which are smooth and have no *****. These are 2" shorter in diameter, which will cause the gear ratios to be different.
In regular cars, we use 1:1 for dynoing. Should I keep it in 6th gear so that the smaller 18" tires will bring it back up out of overdrive?
Thanks for any help,
