I am in serious need of replacement shocks for a 1987 Kawasaki Bayou 300 2x4. Its my uncles and he wont buy a new one so were gonna redo this one anyone know which shocks would fit it the best with minor or no modifications and the cheaper the bettter cause any shocks are better than what he has now. Could i find a used set somewhere

Call WORKS and give them the dimensions of your shocks. They can match you up a set. For that bike I'd get a set of their AT Steelers. That is the cheapest you'll find probably, and they will still out perform the stockers.

Or, measure your shocks and do your own homework to find out what will fit it, the try to land some on ebay.

My Dad used to have a 300 Bayou in 87, I tore the $h!t out of that thing. If I remember correctly, the rear shocks are rather long, and the fronts short. You might try front shocks off of a 400ex for the back, and front shocks off of a 300ex for the front. Both can be had at a reasonable price on ebay. Just do some measuring first!
