I've been noticing that a powervalve cylinder is the hot ticket for the Honda TRX250R. Everyone is coming out with these cylinders...CT, Duncan, etc. So it got me wondering. Could I bolt a cylinder off an '87 CR250 on my '87 TRX250R? The stroke is identical, and the bore is only different by .4 mm. The only thing I could think of that wouldn't work is the angle of the exhaust port. I'm not sure if it's different. If this would work, I could go out and buy a cheap CR250 cylinder and have a powervalve cylinder on my TRX. I don't know...it seems to good to be true. Fill me in on your thoughts.

I dont think that it will bolt on and how would you get the power valve to work?

collegefunded-
That question has already been asked and answered at www.ftzracing.com, although I don't recall how much they want, nor have I seen/ ridden one. They could, at least, let you know what it takes were you to do it yourself. Also, fyi...the trick to being college funded is student loans, works for me.

The powervalves are not used when they use the CR top end on the TRX bottem end.
