I was wondering if anybody had any ideas on how to fix the rear braking of a 400Ex if it is seized up without rebuilding the whole rear braking system.
I didn't do anything as far as modifying it in anyway.
I just rode it one day and it is almost frozen stiff where it is. It takes alot of muscle to apply it, and you have to physically pull it back up if you use it.

I had a 250X do that. I tore it apart and found basically rust and dirt inside where the spring was... I would just tear it off clean it all up and lube it back up and I think it will work fine

First get rid of the e-brake and buy block off plate, before putting that on ,use never seize on the cam in there, and no more problems...

First you need to figure out where it's frozen up at. Start at the brake lever itself, check the pivot point. Then work your way up to the master cylinder. My guess is the brake arm pivot from your description...

Yeah, I went home after work yesterday and took off the brake pedal.. The pivot on the pedal is what was causing the problem. After prying it out and two dust seals later, I think it will be o.k now. Thanks to everyone for your advice.
