For anybody out there who has experience with port and polish jobs I have a couple of issues. I'm trying to finish up a home port and polish job myself on a brand new 250r cylinder. Now knowing this can be fairly dangerous if your not careful is understandable so I pretty much stayed away from the intake side and spent most of my time making the exhaust port smooth as glass. I'm actually pretty impressed at my handy work. I also know that you want the intake rough so that it tumbles your gas mixture. So the only thing I did was match up and bore out the two lower ports on the intake side widening them out a bit to allow more gas mixture to pass. Now one question I have is what are the differnces between the different port and polish stages? and what else do I need to check besides matching up the port diameters and making the edges as smooth as possible? Any professional advice would be appreciated! I'm looking forward to intsalling this thing it should hit hard.

If you really want to do this your self go to a web site called www.MacDizzy.com this guy really know his stuff. The site has 2 parts, one for computers and the other to 2 stroke porting. This guy also has great pics of the cylinder during the different stages of porting. Also check out the 270cc sleeper kit. Hope this helps
