MX SHOCKS

First off, PEP gets their stuff from Works. As for Axis, they're to high, you're paying for the priveledge of buy Penske equipment. Sorry Roger, but you make to much money now. As for TCS, I'm not very familiar with them. What I do know is that one of the GNC 250 Pro riders recommended I try either Elka or Axis with the chassis I'm building. Seeing as I'm trying to get a good standing relationship with a shock maker to compliment the frames we build to sell, and Elka seems to be more intersted in helping me than others, I would have to say, get the Elka shocks. Call them @ 450-655-4855 and ask for Marc Kingsley. He's a super nice guy, and can tell you exactly what you need. And will probly say you money in doing so.

OK I am kind of new to after market shocks. I bought a pair of Axis for my raptor, used but I couldn't tell it. They are supposed to be valved for my weight and width, according to him, but they seem very very soft. Is there any way I can look at maybe the springs to tell. I don't want to get them re-valved to just get them back the same way. If I do have to re-valve who are some recomendations? No one around here can do it so I will have to send them off. I weigh around 200 if this helps. My front rims are turned around so its about 51" wide.

Yeah the extra few inches would add more levrage but the set-up was supposed to be for plus two arms, and they are really soft. I haven't bottomed them but I am scared to jump that I might break something. Any opions on where to send them.
