No it won't effect the power valves .

Sorry I don't know what the plenum does. I am pretty sure it will not work right with out it though.

This is just a quess but I would think the plenum thing houses the blow off valve ?

it prolly is for the bov, but i didnt think a system this samll would need a bov.

With out a BOV whats going to happen when your at full boost and you let off the the throttle?
Ya gotta have A blow off valve,other wise you will be blowing off the hoses and pipes. Even these little turbos should push 20 psi but 8-10psi is enough to blow off a hose.

i know that in building air supplies for paint booths and stuff a plenum is the thing that rotates open and closed, letting air through or not.

maybe its the same idea

yeah your right about the bov. i know it would eventually lead to falure of the turbo.. i hate to think how im going to hook up a bov on this now.

wasn't there an article in one of the rags about a guy who makes turbo kits for 400exs and Raptors? He had the 400 pushing 54 hp and outside of the kit he just added a pipe. He's in South America and his kits were around 4k and I guess it's a very well known proffesional shop.

The BOV from a turbo sprint would work great and just put it inline from the turbo to the carb.
on the sprints they are mounted right on the IC , where the DSM's have on the upper IC pipe
