Widest width for XC?
#3
Well, since you are from PA, I am assuming you are talking about east coast harescramble and GNCC style racing. For that, 46" seems to be a good width to run. In the GNCCs, you can go a little wider because those tracks tend to be a little more open. I know some of the pros in the GNCCs run closer to 48", but I wouldn't want to try that on some of the local races I've seen.

Thanks! I have been running my X at 49" but it is a little wide for some of the trails around here. I will probably go scout out a few tracks and see what it's like. I know the one here in Hubbard, OH is really wide in most sections and even 50" would probably be ok......
