Does anybody know who makes conversion kits that will convert a 3 wheeler to a 4 wheeler.

 

PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, don't ruin a three wheeler by putting one of those crappy kits on it, it would be a shame to see that done to a trike. No one I know of that put one on was very happy with the way it performed afterwards. If you want a good handling quad then get a TRX250r or a 400EX. You'll be much better off in the long run than trying to make a trike into something it isn't and was never supposed to be.

 

There was a company that was tested on this site. I called them and they had just discontinued there kits. They dident know anyone else making them.

 

It depends on what trike you have. If its and ATC 250R then there was an article posted on this site called "budget Racer" It was taking the 250R parts and building a TRX250R. Burgards Cycle was supposed to have a kit that will help you convert the trike over. This is not converting an existing trike but actually building the quad using the quad frame and using the necessary trike parts.

 

poor trikes, they r a dieing breed. buy a quad and keep the 3 wheeler.

Why would you want to wreck a perfectly good trike?? Quads are a waste of rubber!!!

Are these conversion kits really that bad? One of the Astro kits from Hi-Performance ATV was tested on this site and they said it performed well. They did have problems but what machine doesn't. I have been looking into one of these quad conversions for my 85 350X. If they are really that bad, I have a spare motor that I can use to put on a 250X, 300ex, or 250R.
