Hey. Ive got a prob with my 87 230S. It starts up soo easily when its cold(1st kick) but as its ridden and warmned up it has a dead spot right off idle. And also if it dies on me once warmed up i can't start it by kicking. I have to pull start it . The longer you ride it the more it seems to miss. It starts to miss at high speed in 5th gear too. Im running a wiesco high compression piston and a cobra pipe. Does this sound like a carb problem or electrical? If ne1 has had this happen with their Qsport please respond. Its buggin the **** out of me. Almost enough that im tempted to buy a brand new atv.

 

Well don't go out and buy a new quad just because the carb ain't right.I have a Quadsport and the only problem I 've had is when someone besises me rides and doesn't keep it revved up enough and it won't start for 3hrs no matter how I try to startit. I think its a faulty CDI box.But your problem sounds like you didn't change the jetting when you added the pipe.I f you did then play around with the air/fuel mixture screw and turn the idle up.
