Don't know about that first sensor you suggested but I unhooked the connector you mentioned on the left side of the radiator. It has a wire that ran down to the middle of the fan so I think that is the right one. After I unhooked the connector and started it up. The fan still wasn't turning. No idea how to check the voltage to the fan.

Just plug the radiator sensor back in!As you are sitting on the atv on the left side of the engine above the clutch cover is the temp sensor.Just unplug and see if fan comes on! Is your machine the carb version or an Efi?? This is the first year of efi models on the 700 also. OPT

Fan works. We got power to it and it came on. We unplugged the tempature sensor above the clutch cover and the fan did not come on then. We can't find the other sensor you were talking about. So it still isn't working but we were able to find some things. I really appreciate the help you gave me on this. We may try again today but probably will end up taking it for service. Thanks!

If fan works, then I would replace the radiator sensor(part #4010161) as 9 out of 10 times they are the reason for the engine getting hot and NOT kicking the fan on! OPT

And the radiator sensor is the connector under the front panel that runs down to the fan? Or is that some other part? I can't find a picture of the part number on the web. Thanks.

Not to the fan,but to the radiator! Google Pure Polaris Parts catalog, scan down until you see "browse",this shows breakdowns of ALL Polaris machines. Shows just the connector on the radiator,BUT doesn't show the whole connector and sensor together #4010161. OPT
