Default stripped threads on oil return hose

2003 Predator. The threads in the crankcase for the oil return hose are stripped. (SCR-M6X1.0X16.0-HX/FL-P80-Y ) What is the best way to repair?
Thanks.

Timeserts are the best to repair damaged threads, but the cost of the kit along with different size inserts are prohibitive to most people for a one time use.Helicoils are the second choice and have been around for years and less costly, but not as strong a repair as timeserts. But since you probably won't be pulling this fitting on and off a helicoil should be ok. Just up to you on this. You might check some shops or machine shops as to costs on timesert repair. Might be worth the call. OPT
