Update, ran it today with a jumper on the AWD switch as you have instructed. Ran without a fault, only ran for a short time, but indications are that it is much better. I will snow plow again later today and that will be the real test. Thanks again for you knowledge and patients!

I think we can say the issue has been resolved. I have been plowing for the last three days and have not had an issue. Maybe an issue with mother nature, we have received 22" of snow in the last week??

To summarize the issue I was having: the AWD was very inconsistent, when shifting gears I never knew if AWD would work or not. I my trouble shooting adventures I noticed the voltage was also inconsistent, ranging from 11.8v to 14.5v? For this I replaced the voltage regulator. Note: the regulator part # 4060191, is in the process of being superseded, and is in very short supply. I was able to get one at Pat's Small engine plus. After which I have 13.7v on a consistent basis. But this did not fix the AWD problem. In the many times I was checking the electrical connections and switches I found that when connecting the multi-meter to the AWD switch or trans switches, the AWD light would come on? Armed with this information Mr. OPT suggested that I try a jumper across the BRN/W wire with a BRN wire (known good ground). I placed the jumper on the AWD control wire harness across wires B and C which is the BRN and the BRN/W wires on my switch. Since this jumper has been in pace I have not had any issues with the AWD.
