First pic is of an air temperature sensor(just keep the dirt wiped off) second pic is of the TPS or IAC sensor(hard to tell on the pic),third pic is the T-map sensor. What year model? OPT

2008 500 ho efi.

I just wanted to make sure i bought the right part. You referred me to the only he best website which I ordered. I though That part is replacing picture no. 3, but the instructions that came with it say to replace the temp sensor. So now I'm not sure i bought the correct part.

As long as you ordered the correct sensor harness repair kit for the 500 and not the 800 it should just have the connector end and about 8-10 inches of wires that you replace the existing fine wire connector and wiring with and tie into the main harness. You don't have to replace the air pressure sensor as it's called in the parts breakdown or formally called the map sensor (manifold absolute pressure sensor) itself OR the T-bap (temperature barometric air pressure sensor) on the 800. Basically they are have the same functions. The sensors are almost never the problem unless tampered with, just the thin wiring and connectors especially on the 500 map sensor wiring that cause erratic idle, dying, popping back etc at low speeds.

I'm really confused. I ordered the kit for the 500. Only The Best
This is only about 5 inches of wire. You are saying the air sensor is now called the map sensor? I thought they were 2 different things?

The one in the air box is the air temperature sensor! The one on the manifold is the MAP(air pressure) sensor. Two different sensors entirely! Confusing I know. They both send info back to the ECU/ECM(or brain box as some call it) which determines fuel mixture depending on temperature and air pressure! OPT

Ok so I bought the correct harness. You said there should be 10 inches of wire but I only received about 5 inches?

I lied I thought the OTB wiring kits were like Polaris kits that did have a little longer wiring, but you have the better repair kit believe me! I've replaced several Polaris kits that ended up doing the same thing later on! Just see how far to cut the old harness back to when you install the new wiring and (supposedly) shrink tube connectors that should be with the new kit. It should have instructions, that again I'm assuming as the OTB kits didn't exist when I was still working,or I would have found out about them and used them if they were instead of the crappy Polaris kits OPT
