no fire on one side of coil

So it's behind the fan shroud ? Not the side ? I didn't pull the shroud to look for it cuz I figured it wouldn't be behind the shroud !

The wire should be routed up the side lip of the shroud down to the sensor. You don't have to pull the fan.Jut pry the lip out a little.

yea i checked and double checked the radiator for that sensor and mine dont have it ! i also checked continuity on my harness from coil to ecm and checked out good so i guess the ecm is bad ?could a bad crank sensor cause it loose fire on one side of coil ?

Sorry,now that I see you have a 2004.5 model(same as the 2005) you won't have a radiator sensor! Sorry for the wild goose chase! The crank sensor is either good or bad it wouldn't split the spark! It sends the signal to the ecu then from the ecu to the coil. Could very well be an ecu problem since you replaced the coil. As far as the fan, the relay must send power to the fan and it gets it's power from the sealed circuit breaker up from the relay.This has caused a lot of problems on 700 and 800 machines if the circuit breaker has shorted out or corroded. It should be on the harness up from the relay in a sealed plastic pouch.Shows on the wiring schematic to be a 20 amp fan circuit breaker.

ok thanks alot for the help and ill hafta check out the circuit breaker tonight and ill update on anything new

ok i just got my bike back from the dealer and replacing ecu solved all my problems. it runs like a beast and the fan kicks on when it suppose to !
