Unhappy 85 trail boss wont start

hi

i have a 85 trail boss 250 2 stroke, has new piston and rings, new carb, new crank seals and fresh gas. after i replaced crank seals bike worked great just touch the start button it would start right up and idle. worked good for about 2 months then i went to take it for a drive it was dying as i drove, then huge backfire. then every time i started it it was back firing. been layed up for 5 months and now it wont start or even cough. im getting spark as well and carb boot is in good shape no cracks. can i use eather to try n start it or is something else better to use. when i recently tryed to start it i checked the plug and it was wet with gas.

thx for any help given

Do a compression test before anything else.Less than 115psi or so and you may have fried another piston.Plus it may just have blown the crank seal behind the drive clutch. After sitting 5 months and no stabilizer the carb will have to be cleaned. Ether just washes down any oil from the rings, but you can use it once to see if it tries to kick over and tries to run.
