Need New RAD Hoses
#11
I had to use the preformed for the bypass. The heater hose kinked on the by pass. I will try the wrap and see what happens. To check the fan I can just touch both connections togeather and the fan should come on after the temp is at normal temp, correct? I will get a new temp sensor as well Thanks again

You can just have the key on and jump the two spade connectors and the fan should come on.If it doesn't then could be a ground problem or a fan motor itself may be at fault.

Many coolants are compatible with aluminum radiators. Prestone,Zerex, etc. 50/50,60/40 is ok to use. Most premixed coolants use distilled water and good for copper or aluminum radiators.

Engine coolant either in 50/50,60/40 has been suitable for almost all types of radiators and engine blocks for years. Plus most use distilled water so no minerals can cause problems. If in doubt get a gallon of this.If money isn't a problem you can go for the specialized coolants. Or Engine Ice.

Update. Went ahead and emptied the rad with the drain and the whole drain came out. Checked the fan and it works so will put a new sensor in a little lower if I can find. What is the factory sensor setting 185? Ran all the water out and hot light did not come on. Will get the hose wrapped tomorrow.
