Default 07 sportsman 500 speedo

Hi opt,

a month ago o bought a brand new speedo and have not had any problems. I went out to start the wheeler the other day and nothing lit up on the speedo... I pulled it out to check it and it seems everything is still plugged in. Is there s fuse that feeds that? Or a wire in that cluster that should have power that I can test? My brother has a 2010 and if his is the same speedo I will plug his in to see if it works.

thanks

With the key off there should be a red memory wire that has voltage at all times. I'd check that first. The manual has a good series of checks also on the speedo connector pins and their functions.

I wiggled the wire connectors under the seat by the fuel injector and the display came back in... corrosion in the connector?

Just clean all the connectors and use some electrical grease and that should solve any future problems.
