Polaris Glacier 1 plow system
#11
I have a Glacier one plow but don't have the mount that goes on the ATV side. Does anyone have one or know where to find one?
I have a 2012 Polaris 500 HO. Have my doubts that it will work on there anyway, but maybe worth a shot. Got to love how Polaris conveniently makes good expensive equipment obsolete and quite making replacement parts.

Dear Glacier 1 Plow owner,
Have you considered fabricating a mounting plate for the Glacier 1 Plow? I have one for my 1994 Polaris 350L ATV. Although I bought it a few years ago, when they were still available, it is incredibly simple. You need a slot in the back of the plate for the "tongue" to slip into. The middle part of the plate is essentially a "sleeve" which imitates the triangular bent of the middle part of the plow, and the very front part of the plate is a horizontal bar for the the plow mount to grab onto.
My guess is that if you could find a good skilled welder, you could have them fabricate this for you easily. After fabricating the basic plate, you could then figure out how to mount the plate to your ATV.
I say all this based on the fact that my pre-made plate was not made for my specific ATV. I had to have a welder modify it for mine. My welder made the adjustments easily.
Thanks,
Jim
