Default Polaris Glacier 1 plow system

Dear OPT hopefully once again you'll come through with your infinite knowledge... I have the glacier plow system from polaris on my 2002 sportsman 700. Now I would like instructions to make sure I have it set up properly and parts diagrams in case of parts I may need. Do you know if you would be able to help me out? Thanks in advance. -Andy

That is pretty well out of my territory since I've never installed a snow plow. It's 61 degrees out side right now.. If you have instructions, follow them and if you run into trouble all the northern boys can help you out.

I think I still have the installation instructions for my Glacier plow. Mine's a 2008 500 H.O. EFI so the mount will be different but the plow itself should be about the same. I doubt you'll be able to get replacement parts for it anywhere. If I can remember I'll try to find time to look tomorrow to see what I can find.

Okay. It was worth a shot. I’m. It too sure of it is gen one or 2. Their is a little chain on one side not sure what that goes to. But I believe I have it set up right.

Mine doesn't have a chain anywhere. No idea what that would be for. If your plow attaches and detaches like the one in this video it's an original Glacier plow before they had a Glacier II and Glacier III. If not then you have something else.

That is no doubt it. The second video really shows that body. Now the guy I bought it off of must of modded it cause mine has a lag bolt in the back of the plow body and 2 side brackets welded on to mount to the forward lower frame underneath the radiator. Wondered why it was a bit complicated but I see those aren’t original. Wonder why the guy did that and not just do what the video showed???? Maybe the plow was loose or something while using.

We've had a really cold couple of days and it snowed enough yesterday for most of the schools in the area to have a snow day today. The mailman just went by so I'll have to put on my boots and coat and go out there. I was hoping I didn't have to leave the house today.
