I'm looking for a lift kit for a 2000 Scrambler 500, I haven't been able to have any luck so far. Also looking for a radiator relocation kit.

 

I've never seen one, not even custom made. And I'm not really sure why you would want one. You would have to put way taller tires on it to get the clearance on the rear that a stock Sportsman already has. It sounds like you bought the wrong quad.

 

Plus a radiator relocating kit on a Scrambler.. You really do need to get a utility atv.

 

Utility ATVs like the Sportsman have low range too. I consider that a must for mudding. Especially with big tall mud tires.

 

You can fit a little larger tires than stock without lifting it. Probably go with 25" tires instead of the stock 23" tires but that's about it. It just wasn't meant to be lifted for mud bogging. You'd probably be better off selling or trading it to get a Sportsman 500 instead. The chain drive on the Scrambler really limits your ground clearance even if you could lift it.

 

Earlier today I was thinking if he put 31" tires on his Scrambler he would gain 4" of ground clearance. Then it might be able to go where a stock Sportsman with 26" tires like mine can go. I think it would take a major change in sprocket sizes to have what it takes to turn those massive tires. I just looked at a bunch of 31-32" mud tires and most weigh 50-60 pounds each. The tires could end up outweighing the rider and would require new 14" diameter wheels, so the price of them can be added on to the price of the new tires. And all of the suspension upgrades it would need. I'm not saying it can't be done but still don't have any idea what reason anyone would have to do it, except to prove it can be done. I would really like to see it if anything comes of this idea.

Another thing I thought of was if I had turned my Trailblazer into a mud machine I wouldn't have had to relocate the radiator, it didn't have one.
