Default 2013 Polaris Sportsman 500 HO Backfired and now will not run

Hello All,

I have a 2013 Polaris Sportsman 500 HO with 163 hours on it. I drove to my shop the other day turned it off and did a few things. Hopped on the quad tried to start it and it made a loud bang and now it just cranks. If I spray starting fluid in the spark plug hole it will run on it. If I shoot it into the air breather it will not. I thought maybe the fuel pump(which it still could be a problem)so I disconnected the fuel line and used a marine primer bulb to add gas to the fuel inlet to the carb and it had no effect. Seems to me something in the carb is not allowing the fuel or air through. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The only way I know how to check to see if the carb is plugged is to pull it off and look at it.

Is there some sort of electric valve that opens and closes the air and fuel? I was also wondering what the ASM is?
