2007 Sportsman 500 EFI primary clutch spring
Hello to all!
Have a 07 Sportsman 500 HO EFI, just bought it recently changed all fluids front to back, all filters just getting a maintenance schedule for myself, changed CVT belt also old belt looked in excellent shape replaced it with a new OEM Polaris belt. I added new 14" MSA diesel wheels and 27" Mega Mayhems, I really didn't loose a lot of power but I been reading a lot and some people said when they added the bigger tires and wheels they lost a good bit of power so I ordered the EPI red spring (PATV1) because I was planning on the power loss, now my questions is if I install the red spring I already have is the machine going to behave a lot different with the higher RPM engagement? I do a lot of mountain trail riding, few steep hills with lots of rocks sometimes, I guess technical riding some you can say, I don't want the machine to be popping up bad when I am on a steep hill and something bad happen lol, but I do want maximum power and low end TQ for when we encounter mud and the straight aways.
Can someone maybe give me a little insight on how the machine really handles with the EPI red spring, also the machine is stock otherwise.
Thanks!
