Default '02 700 carb diaphragm spring

The spring on the slide that is under the diaphragm keeps coming out of the pocket it sits in and lodges sideways under the cover. This will not allow the slide to pull up and therefore the machine will not run. I have repaired it twice and now it has happened again. Only stays in place for about 15 minutes of very easy riding. Thanks

You only need to post once on a subject. Sooner or later someone who can help you will see it. Unfortunately that person isn't me. I don't own anything more powerful that a push lawnmower with a carb on it.

I assume its moving on the "Cover" end correct(top end)? There is suppose to be a "pin" in the inside of the cover that sticks down to keep the spring from moving. Did it somehow come off the cover?
