Is the snorkel getting covered when you install the lid? Choking it out and killing the motor? I assume it wont even idle??? At idle, main jet isn't even functioning at that point, so would be something else. Anymore info you can give?

We rebuilt the carb I just didn't count the number of turns when taking old jet out and no snorkel is not blocked and have a new air filter as well with the snorkel off it will half way idle but Biggs on initial take off finally about half throttle it will take off but dies if letting off throttle to fast

Ok. Your referring to the air/fuel mixture screw I would bet. Set it at 1.5 out to start with(close enough, I could give you book recommendations, but I'm not at work) can do that tomorrow. Did you put a kit in the carb? Or just clean it?

The internal jets aren't adjustable. They just thread In and are seated tight. They can be changed for different sizes, but not by screwing them in or out. The only adjustable part on the carb is the air/mixture screw which is external.(throttle stop can be adjusted too but that's not your issue here)

Am I correct here, runs bad, but if you get it to 1/2 throttle it runs well to higher rpms? Then if you let the throttle off it dies?

Did the kit come with a new jet needle(not to be mistaken with the float needle and seat)
Did it come with a new float needle and seat?
what position is the clip in the jet needle? Is the white washer under the clip about 1/8 inch thick?
Did the kit have new pilot and main or did you clean the old ones?
I just had this conversation with someone else, bear with me, I'm having trouble remembering different conversations!
