Default Turn key on...nothing.

I have been a member here for many years. Have not been on in a long time, we changed our email address and I forgot my password, so I resigned up. We are going to start riding a lot more than in the past so I rejoined.

I have a Polaris X2(20007) 800 Sportsman.

I was charging the battery with a battery tender and tried to start it and it did crank over and then quickly quit. Now when I turn the key on, nothing no power.

I checked all the fuses in the fuse box under the front cover.
Is there a main fuse somewhere else? What else could it be.

Battery may be shot, they sometimes get internal shorts and will show a good charge but it is only a surface charge. Get a load test on the battery or just try another battery from a friend. Jumping may not work if the battery has a short internally. Just a suggestion, have had the same issue in rhe past.

Thanks for the tip.
I went out tonight to push it up on my trailer to take in to have fixed. I decided to look to make sure the connections on the battery were tight. The positive connection was very loose.
The battery was new at the first of the year. I have started and driven that thing 8-10 times this year, but all of a sudden the positive cable is very loose, strange.
I tightened it and it started and ran fine.
Thanks for the tips.
Last year the kill switch went bad. I could play with it and get it to work, but I had that fixed as well.

Yep, I should have added loose connections in my suggestions! Glad you have it sorted out....
