turn the key nothing lights up, have to pull start
duckdawg,
Sounds like either a bad battery or a bad connection to the battery. I have a bad battery on my 400i and have to pull start it with an assist to get it to start. You might also check the fuses in the battery box too. I don't know off the top of my head if there is a ignition or starter fuse? That could be blown?
I would start there as well as check the battery and celinoid connections.
Hope this helps

If you have a manual, check and see where the diodes are for the start in gear. You don't even have lights when you turn the key on all the way? ignition switch bad? I'll check my troubleshooting guide and see if I can come up with something.

I've had the same problem twice this year. Both times it was the starter relay. Check your battery first. If it's good most likely the relay's bad. Not hard to replace. Just a pain when it goes bad. Mine always chose to go bad at the worst times.

If you turn the key on and you get no lights on the insturment pod then the starter solenoid isn't in the picture yet. Unless you left something plugged into the accessory plug and ran the battery down, then either a blown fuse, bad ignition switch or a bad or loose connection on either the positive battery lead or a ground wire. This is assuming something didn't get unplugged.
