Default 2003 sportsman not charging (new stator and reg)

Im pulling my hair out on this POS. Ive replaced the entire wiring harness because of electrical problems on my 03 500 H.O. i replaced the stator and regulator. Im getting 18 AC volts at idle and up to 50 volts when reving engine. However i did notice that the solid yellow wire is grounded perfectly... the red striped yellow wire does not ground out. The new regulator doesnt have any continuity in any wires no matter direction (ive read there should be continuity in 1 direction from diodes. Anyway does this mean i need to replace both brand new parts lol?

Default I did more testing and found it was the regulator

With the regulator hooked up i had the red and yellow wire grounding out on the regulator. I disconnected the regulator and tested the red and yellow wire again and no short to ground. This regulator was a brand new amazon regulator (junk). Make sure to buy oem or rm stators voltage regulator. Solved
