2013 Polaris Sportsman 500 HO not showing correct gear on speedometer display.
#1
Hi,
I have a 2013 sportsman 500 and when I shift the gear lever the wrong gear or no gear displays in the speedometer. I replaced the gear selector rotary switch and that did not fix the problem. I found what I believe to be the Resistor module located under the air breather box on top of the transmission. But according to the service manual it is under the headlight but I couldn't find it there. Anyways, I checked the resistance of each of the wires and I found the resistance for the Neutral-Low-High ranges to be higher than the range indicated in the service manual. Does this mean I have a bad resistor or should i be checking something else in the wiring. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
