Default Is anybody running the Holeshot ATRs?

I put these on the Rhino some time back and noticed a huge difference (obviously) in handling between the stockers; original Mudlites; the Bighorns and (what I thought to be) these great performing tires.

Does the improved power to weight ratio almost overpower the tread on this design or does this tire really make it feel like a whole other machine as I felt it did on the Rhino?

Experimented today with a set of 26's that we used to run on the Rhino years ago (stock Rzr wheels).
I've always liked the way these tires handle at both slow and faster speeds (when remembering to respect the reduced tread contact); along witrh the much smoother overall ride and (IMO) a greater ability to actually 'feel' the power come on much more dramatically. The bigger tire obviously affects the handling somewhat; although it's not such a big deal with this much less agressive tread.
Conclusion?
After getting somewhat used to the stockers and really just enjoying the overall almost perfect set-up that Polaris has provided with this machine; I'd like to hear more from those running 25" ATRs or tires of similiar tread design before moving on up in size.

Just one question, do you still like the Rzr stock tires, or have you moved up in size yet

These Holeshots are 26's; yet even with this somewhat performace type tire; I just don't feel that I'm gaining anything with the larger size. Granted, this same tire really seemed to wake up the stodgier Rhino; but beyond the obvious somewhat better launch on certain surfaces; the much different overall handling and even higher CG is a minus, IMO.(any maintained traction effect throughout the powerband is quickly lost by possibly an overpowering of the tread on this design also).

Although I recognize the advantages of just a few more inches of ground clearance on this machine at these speeds and when approaching unexpected obstacles; you're going to have a little trouble convincing me that this thing is more fun to drive with taller tires installed than the 25's which come with it.

Thanks, my plan was to run the tire that comes on it and see how it does in the areas I will be riding and then look at changing them out if I have issues. I now feel this is still a good plan. Thanks for the input.
by the way what part of the country do you run in?

I think you've got the right plan and that the stockers are just as good (with tread on them) than most anything out there.
My local riding (SW MI.) has been almost 'hardpack' this summer with no rain and lots of dust. Otherwise; we did the small dune area we have locally called Silver Lake; very tight and twisty (sandy) trails in the UP and a faster mix of sand/rock/dips in the same area on an old railroad grade (all on stockers).

This thing has just been a blast everywhere that we've taken it to and I love it.

hey I want to thank you for all the info on this. If you ever get down in the southwest area during the winter, let me know.

So I stopped in a dealer while traving through Eugene, OR. they had a RZR out front with a set of Mud lites. what got my attention was they were 30x10x . Also looked like they may of had spacers. This sure made it look high up, wonder what it will do to the center of Gravity. I bet the light they put on the top of the roll bar do not last long.

The Mudlites that we had on the Rhino years ago (I'm sure that they've probably changed the design) were great tires that did the job well; although they were certainly nothing approaching that size (didn't even know that they made them).

The only problem that I ever had with that original design was that they wore out very unevenly when you had to run the pavement (some ereads were almost cut in half at a 45 degree angle).
