I wouldn't exepct any of the aftermarket silencer's to be any quieter than stock. Our's is close but it's hard to add hp and keep it quiet at the same time.

We test and rate all of our systems under MN rules and regualtions they read at 96db or lower.

just ordered a gibson exh. system for my rzr, reportedly sound at 92-94 db., and by using unequal length pipes, gets rid of that ugly side by side twin drone. will check back when it is installed, they are on back order for a week or so.......stroker

Ok, my buddy just bought a razor and wants to put an aftermarket pipe on it. I don't know anything about db's though so how may db's does the stock muffler put out? This way I can get an idea of how loud these aftermarkets are.

The db raeding can be misleading. The human ear is more sensative to certain sounds than the db gauge is.

The best way to explain most of our systems is that they are louder than stock, but they have more a deeper / throatier sound to them. We try to keep them at a reasonable level though to help keep the sport going. There are definetly much more louder systmes on the market than ours though.

That's good. My buddy wants an aftermarket slip on but doesn't want it to be stupid loud like the HMF's are.
