Default 08 RZR electrical connections?

I've got this new RZR and there is a grey plug hanging out on the right side under the dash. There is also a 9 volt battery terminal on the wiring harness located in the same area. I'm curious as to what that grey plug is used for and why are thos battery terminals in the harness?
Thanks, jerry.

The grey plug should be for computer connection for diagnostics from the dealer. Not sure about the 9V connector

I'm not sure, sure is curious why its there. Even the guys at the dealer weren't sure. Not something you typically see. But, I would guess you are right, it may be a way for them to power up the computer without having the key. Since the battery is protected with a solenoid if you don't have the key you can't power anything up.
Thanks, Jerry.
