Default Ranger enging brake

I've heard the Ranger's don't come with an engine brake, is that true? I put one on my Sportsman and was glad I did. Without it going down a mountainside wouldn't be much fun for me.

I've had trouble with the Sportsman going down steep hills the rear end swings back and forth, this is at slow speeds. A guy told me this was due to the factory tires, don't know if that's true.

A couple of years ago I was with a guy going down a road in a Ranger. We came to a small drainage ditch in the road. He took it at a slight angle and slow speed and the Ranger tipped over on my side in slow motion. Fortunately we were going slow or it could have been bad. I've heard a lot of good about the Ranger but this has spooked me on them. I still don't know which side by side I'm going to buy.

sorry old tech, my rzr does not have EBS, but the clutching setup does provide a good amount of braking down to about 7-10 mph, and then it's freewheeling.
