Default Just got my first Polaris, 2010 Ranger 500 4x4

Ive had a yamaha big bear 400 2wd since 03, but just sold it, and got a my first sxs, first ever Polaris, a Ranger 500 EFI 4X4. I got it off the showroom floor, with 14 inchMotorsport alloy wheels and 27 inch Motomax M/T's already installed, i left it there, for them to install a winch and hardtop roof. So far i really like it. I had some issues this morning with it idling low, and dieing. Did that probally 6-7 times. But seemed to be better later in the day. Only other thing that bugs me is the cargo box vibrating pretty good. Other than those things, i think its pretty awesome. Hope to hae the best of luck with my first Polaris purchase.

Congratulations on your side by side. The 500 is a great engine. I think the idle problem is just what TLC is eluding too.

It's now been 7 months since you bought you Ranger500. Just wondering if you could give us a review now that you've had some seat time?

Sorry folks, didn't get the emails about replies. It'll be a year next month, that I've had the ranger 500. I'm pretty happy with it, the ride is great, plenty of power, plenty of room. It still has had it's issues. Including Running rough when hot and dies at times. High idle at times when hot, and can't shift, have to shut it off, and restart, and it's fine. It's one of them issues that took to the dealer, and they say they can't repeat the issue...

Overall though, no major issues, and alot of fun. I've added alot of stuff like HID headlight conversion, Polaris halogen/led knockout lights, Piaa offroad lights, Polaris performance steering wheel, shifter. Also stereo system. Have pics here

Wow! Those are some very serious issues! Typical response from the dealer though "can't duplicate the issue"!

If you ever find a fix for those issues, please post.
