i have an 05 polaris ranger 4x4, i was lucky enough that whoever tried to steel my ride didnt get away with it. the iginition was cut out and hot wired, apperently it didnt work, but insted of getting the factory ignition tumbler and key i tried a universal aftermarket part, also didnt work. so now i can start it by wiring the red and orange wire togather and starting with the yellow wire. it will run for anywere from 1 to 3 min berore it cuts out and dies, but it will start right back up and do the same. i can here the fuel pump come on for about three seconds, and when the moter is warm the fan will come on for also 2 - 3 seconds but will also cut out, it acts as though the power cuts off, but the lights still work, any ideas

 

check battery connections and ground on motor. and put new key switch in

 

Do you have insurance on it? Have you talked to your agent? I would bet that for nothing out of pocket that you could have a dealer fix it and have it like it should be...
