Ok Redneck, Where do you use tactics? In the grocery isle when couponing or are you law enforcement or military?

No, not in law enforcement or the military, i just use tactics from day to day.

The world would be a safer place if there were more with this attitude. (ok, the picture is a bad example)

I'm Law Enforcement SWAT commander, and thought we may have something in common.

I have the 2011 800XP, and I use it mostly for yard work, hauling firewood, and plowing snow. Occasionally, maybe 3-4 times a year, I go on big rides with buddies. So far it has performed great under all circumstances. I haven't had the need for engine breaking, although I don't ride up and down whole mountains as you probably have in Kentucky.

I believe that the HD models starting in 2012 come with engine breaking if you think you need it.

i have the 2011 800 xp eps modle, and live on a river bank with a large hill at my back door. my pu truck will not climb it in twd on a dry day it is steep and sandy. when going down the hill if i put it in low rng and feather the gas to keep the clutch engauged, the mtr will hold me back just fine.i also own a kawi quad with engine brake and it is nice and easyer on breaks.but the difernce for me would not be a deciding factor on a purchase, the ranger is in a class of its own when it comes the ride quality, job uses, and dependability, and 4x4 ststem compared to other brands when i bought mine, and chinezs just waznt in the runner ups for me eather.thats my 2$ worth i think i should start selling polaris lol the thing i dont like about side by sides is how heavy they are but with a 4000 lb winch and a PU with a decent powerplant to haul it in you can go anny where.we have plenty of creeks ,rivers ,swamps, muskeg stretches ,and mountains to play on.

I finally bought a ranger yesterday. Almost bought a brand new RZR 900 LE, burnt orange. It looked bad ***, and lots of amenities that were tempting, but in the end I bought a used 2010 with camo pattern to assess how much I will use and ride before committing $15000.00. Well so far so good. I've rode it all over my farm and love it as does my 7 yr old. Ordered a 3500 Lb winch, so when it comes in I will really start putting the ranger to the test.
Thanks for the input guys , I appreciate it.
