Low cost Predator footpeg project
I took 4 1/8" thick 1" x 5" pieces of 7075 T-6 aluminum. Measure in 3/16" from one long edge and make a parallel line. Measure in approx. 9/16" from each edge and make a mark. Now every 3/4" along that line equally distribute marks. Center-punch and drill 1/8" holes on every mark. Then drill those holes up to the size of your pilot on a holesaw. Next at each point drill a 1/2" holesaw hole. You can sharpen and perfect the teeth with a Dremel tool, or die grinder (wear eye protection, please). Size them up accordingly to your existing footpegs, mark and drill. I put a bushing between them and the factory peg to space them out. Touche' double the grip. Working on some aluminum or carbon fiber exhaust deflectors to replace the two steel units next.
