I can't get the dirt off with a garden hose so i use a pressure washer, I don't hold it in one place to long cause i don't want to mess it up, anyone else use a pressure washer??? And how do you keep dirt from collecting all the time on it?

I use a hose with a high pressure knozzel. When it is clean and dry I use wd-40 or some type of shine spray on all matel surfaces and wax the plastics with plastic wax. The wd-40 helps the best. It will be much easier to clean after wards.

yeah my frame seams to have a lot of water spots on my sportsman 500, so should i soak the frame in wd40? Or should i soak it in son-of -a-gun? Should i put anything on the engine? Also around the decals there seams to be grime colleting that is really noticible on the yellow plastic.

I use a pressure washer that I bought at Wal-Mart, (less than $100) it isn't very powerful and I don't hold it on any critical areas like tie rods, suspension, or balljoints for any extended time. I think that the flat spray from the nozzle is what knocks the dirt off. I wax the plastic about every other ride which may seem like a lot but it seem to keep it looking better.
I also spray wd-40 on the underside of the fenders, engine, hoses and frame and that seems to make the mud come off easier. I have heard of people using Pam non-stick cooking spray also to ease the cleaning process, which makes sense I guess. I also use a product called Meguire's 5 minute detailer on the plastic instead of wax from time to time, it also works good on your helmet, just spray it on and buff it off.
