What is Polaris Service site address again?
#1
I had seen mention of the site on Polaris Industries web site where service bulletins via PDF files are located. What the heck is that address again, I should have wrote it down instead of thinking I could find it by looking at the Polaris site by itself. Need to find out how to test the cooling fan again. Anybody know how to do this on a SP 500? Don't really want to take it in to service If I can just test it myself.

The polaris website is www.polarisindustries.com You can find the parts manuals in this website. The best I know, they only have the parts manuals on this website. These will not tell you how to test the fan. As far as the true service manual, I do not think you can download this, but I could be wrong.

SWAC,
I would type out all the test procedures for you but I am just too damn lazy! Here is the short version plus the part number for the Sportsman service manual. It is well worth the money.
Remove the front rack (4 screws) and pop off the hood. Pull the two wires from the thermal sensor. Short them together and turn on the ignition key. If the fan runs then you have just proven the complete fan circuit except the thermal sensor. If it doesn't, then all wiring and connections to the fan must be checked. If the fan did run, then the only possible bad part is the thermal sensor. In my view it is cheaper to replace it than screw around testing it.
The Sportsman Service Manual is Polaris part number 9915686. It covers the SP 500 from 96 to 00 and the SP 335 from 99 to 00.
