starter eliminator weight savings?
how much weight would I save with the starter eliminator if i also take the battery off?
is there anyhting else i can do to remove weight?
i've already blocked off oil injection, took off sprocket guard, aluminum bars, pipe, took mud guards off, aluminum bumper, aluminum wheels, is there anything else you can think of?
thanks a lot for any help

My guess would be maybe 20 pounds or so.
You could go with aftermarket swingarm/axle, although you pay a lot for just a few pounds weight savings.
If money is no object, someone makes a lightweight frame for like $3000 but I can't remember who at the moment.
You can remove the starter & battery, and wire a big capacator where the battery was (to absorb the surges) and still be able to use the lights. If you don't wire in the capacator, you will blow bulbs. The capacator will weigh 1 at the most, so will still save a lot of weight compared to the battery.
You can get 2 or 3 of the biggest ones Radio Shack carries, and wire them paralell, or maybe an electrical specialty store will have bigger ones. Some electric motors use capacitors to help them through the starting load, someplace that fixes them may be a place to look, as well. Just remember the dark lead goes to positive.

I just checked the weight off almost all the old stock stuff that I have removed
and here is a pretty close list:
battery/metal bracket & starter----15 lbs.
oil injection including weight of oil---5 lbs.
difference between stock/new wheels & tires----12 lbs.
difference between stock pipe / new pipe------2.5 lbs.
race cut plastic and misc. stuff removed-----4.5 - 5 lbs
total ----39 - 39.5 lbs removed

The wheel and brake bolts all around (rotor and caiper mounts). Various engine, suspension mounts, including shock bolts. I custom made the lower trans mount...saves 2-3 pounds if my memory serves me right. Custom fabbed the front nerf mounting doubler. Trying to change over the steering bolts also. Pretty much doing the same on the Predator. It's kinda a "do a little at a time".
