Default Break In Maintenance

The dealership told me to get my 700 serviced by a dealer after the first 10 to 12 hours. The manual says 20. My question is, is there anything special that the dealership does that I can't do? I have ordered a service manual and it should be here any time. I plan on doing most of my maintenance and repairs myself anyway. Or is it best to let them do the initial servicing of the machine? Does anyone know exactly what to do? It should be in the manual I ordered, I'm just waiting for it to come in. I read some where on here that you change the oil and filter, the front and rear diff oil, and the transmission fluid. What about the hubs, do they have fluid that needs to be changed? The manual will hopefully tell me these things, I was just wondering before hand. I would appreciate any help.

Default Break In Maintenance

I was told at the dealer where I traded Teusday afternoon to go ahead and run it 20 hours, then bring it in so they can give it a good checkup for any problems along with the initial oil change - and I just have to pay for the oil & filter, no labor charge. But in the meantime I'm trying to follow company recommendations for the initial 10 hour break-in period. Also, I asked, just to cover my own tail, if I had to wait until the warranty expired to make mods. I'd replaced the K&N air filter and mbrp slip-on I had on the 500 with the original parts before the trade because the dealer had said he'd rather have it stock. I didn't put the blue primary spring back in because I didn't have time, but told him the 500 had a white primary & gave him the blue spring. The K&N and mbrp are already installed on the 700 - with snorkel mod, ITP wheels & likely a green primary soon to come.

There are no hubs on the 700, my owner's manual says change the oil at 20 hrs. or 200 miles, but says nothing about the front/rear diff or tranny for this time period. I have 400 miles on mine and have only changed the oil and filter at about 100 miles. The owners manual says change the other fluids at 100 hrs. or 12 months I think.
