Don't worry about it Atving...I have been in buisness for myself for the past 5 years. I have a retail chain and make a profit off of selling items to the public. Of coarse I could send them directly to the manufacturers or not charge my time...but I have to make a living.
As for the memebers of this forum, I think they are basically outraged at the fact that the info is given away free at Polaris.com....I tried to download it and really suck at this computer stuff. I will eventually get it but if I were a "normal joe" without the time, ability or desire to get it from Polaris I would really appreciate it being availible elsewhere...even if someone is making a buck or two. It's not like it's the Constitution of the United States or anything! It's a question of perspective...

I come to these forums to learn about quads and the sport we all love!!! Start posting information instead of bashing...if not we become like those guys from the "other" brand forum!!!

Guys...quit fussin' and go ride your quads!

Just because it's free,it doesn't mean it's not copyrighted.

My uncle is a patent lawyer (dealing with patents and copyrights) and after viewing the Ebay page in question had the simple response of "this is illegal". You can sell as many discs and as you want and charge for the discs and postage, but the content is protected. Maybe ATVING really did not know what he was doing was wrong. He now does. He made a mistake, learned from it (hopefully) and will now pay his debt to society by coming to the Marengo Swamp ride on Memorial Day Weekend and wash all Hondas (just kidding ).
